Memorable comedy film to enjoy

I got this film from Netflix and I thought that it was a pretty funny film. Although, they could have added more humor in some scenes but for the most part, this was a pretty funny film with some laugh out loud laughs. So yeah, this film does bring some good laughs. I was hoping that it would be a little funnier but this film was funny enough for me to enjoy it. I give "Big Mommas: Like Father Like Son" a B+ and 3 out of 4 stars. I do agree that the critics shouldn't have trashed this film. This film wasn't even bad at all and there are much worse comedy movies out there. I know when I see a very good or at least decent comedy movie and I know when I see an awful movie like "All About Steve". Now, I agree with the critics that "All About Steve" sucked and wasn't even funny. Heck, this film was very funny and it did bring me and my dad some good laughs. Martin Lawrence and Brandon T. Jackson did a good job acting in this comedy film. Also, Ken Jeong made a cameo appearance in this movie so he did a good job with his role as well.

Great Movie !!!

Great acting, great story, and overall very entertaining. We really enjoyed watching this movie. Highly recommended especially if you have seen Big Momma's House and Big Momma's House 2.

One of the worst movies ever made

Along with "Norbit" and "Little Man", the "Big Mommma's House" trilogyhas to be the worst trilogy ever made in the history of cinema.There is nothing good about those horrible films. All of them arepainfully unfunny and annoying as hell. I hated all of them.The third part of this horrible trilogy has to be the worst of allthose movies. I can't believe that they made two sequels of it, whenthe first movie was terrible already.I hate this movie. It is so bad that makes look things such as "Norbit"good in comparison.This is the worst movie of the 2011, and one of the worst movies evermade.

Why?

I need to explain more? Why? From the title i was thinking why makeanother movie of this type if the other 2 don't have good reviews orgood critics but i say to me there is Portia Doubleday (Beautifulactress) so why don't give it a try.Why i did it? All the movie is abused by the same jokes but in a badway.Bad Story, Bad Dialog and Bad Acting(even of Portia and that is sad :(all the movie she is seen as the bad girl of the school)Martin Lawrence should avoid this character again before it kills hiscareer.If you can avoid it, do it by any cause.

Man i really want this dvd let me just say the movie rocked wow Brandon T Jackson amazing actor playing both parts as Sharmane and Trent this one was a real good one i can't wait to get the dvd oh its gonna be so great i just know it!

2.6 / 10? How Did That Happen?

I saw this movie tonight at the local AMC theatre, it was me and myfather. I thought this movie was a hoot, I loved it! So I looked it upon IMDb, and saw that the ranking is 2.6 / 10, which I do notunderstand. I thought this movie had a good storyline, great plot, wasvery funny at some portions, I just legitly loved it.Pretty much, "Big Momma" goes undercover at a female preforming artsschool to find a flash drive containing some evidence that will putsome crooks away. It's a simple plot, but there's lots of great momentsin the film, I thought the wend finale ended funny and was something Idid not expect at all to happen.I loved this movie, I gave it an 8/10, go check it out if you want agood laugh. This is without a doubt something I'll be buying on DVD oneof these days when it comes out.

A film to sit back and relax with

I really liked this film even though some bits of it were stretching it too far. The usual comedy of Martin Lawrence is no surprise but I was really impressed with Brandon T. (Charmain) I thought he was the real deal in this film. He performed both parts so conviningly and was spontanous and hilarious. His bonding with his father (Malcolm) and the girl he loved (Haley Robinson) was the main line of the movie and I thought the lines in both these parts were funny and touching at times. The highlight for me has to be his singing with Haley throughout the film, it felt natural and entertaining. Even though the film overall appears to be a light comedy themed film, it has its deep bits that kind of flows with the story.Overall, great work and great fun. I definitely would recommend it to anyone.

this movie was a really good movie and I like big mamma movies specially the third one . this is a movie I would in store and watch it over and over. if people like comdy and crime movies then they should pick this movie cause it has both . and if you like rap and crime this is a good movie to buy on dvd. people are really good in this movie . I hope they make a fouth big mamma and I think the people were watching this movie was thinking this is a good movie or a really great movie .this movie is really funny and the actors are amazing in this movie . they did a great job in this movie . I would give this movie A+

Just stop already

This movie is so bad it's actually embarrassing to watch Mr. Lawrencesalready washed up career flounder back to the shore after such thoroughand unsettling disappointments as Roscoe Jenkins and the hack work thatwas Death at a funeral. At this point I think its safe to say that"Life" with Eddie Murphy was probably his last legitimate comedic work.Even in the much hyped Bad Boys 2 he was reduced to portraying yetanother whining caricature of himself from his sitcom days.I wont even bother with a synopsis here. In fact if you cant figure itout yourself by watching the trailer then this is probably just thething for you. A terribly sad and abysmal endeavor.

Really quite dire

I have to re-watch the previous Big Momma movies, but my memory of themwas that they were mediocre. I don't remember them though being as badas this one, which is one of the worst movies of the year so far in myopinion. The film doesn't look anything special visually, likewise withthe soundtrack which was nice to listen to but forgettable not longafter. The direction is often unfocused and while Martin Lawrence isgood Brandon T.Jackson tries too hard and ends up over-compensating. Itwas the humour, characters and the story that sinks the film. The storyis rushed and predictable, the characters are annoying and little morethan irritating stereotypes-some of whom also verge on offensive- andthe script is dire and the jokes tasteless. All in all, really quitedire. 1/10 Bethany Cox

Save Your Money

Worst movie out of the three. The first one was great, second one average and this Like Father Like Son thrash should have never been released. I like Martin but come on. Really? Please rent first.
