Excellent!!!!

Man this movie was so great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I laughed the entire movie andafter 4 times of seeing it i keep laughing. Even though it's a comedymoviethe story line is pretty good.Very Highly Recommended!!!!!

The Funniest Movie Ever

In terms of sheer laughter, no movie compares to Dumb and Dumber. God bless Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Lauren Holly and the Farrelly brothers. Humor like this is a once in a lifetime thing.

A movie you can enjoy no matter your IQ

For years, this movie has been one of the funniest Jim Carrey moviesever.This movie is proof that sometimes you just need something dumb to beentertained and that even the smartest of us can't help but lovestupidity with their comedy.I think what makes it so memorable was the fact that there were so manyquotable lines and probably just for the simple fact that one of thebest actors of our time is in it.I can't really say that there was anything wrong with the movie, but Ido wish they hadn't made that dreadful sequel.8/10

inferior performnces in a script gathered from ancient junior high level jokes. maybe if you are 9 years old this is funny. Can Jim carrey act or is his forte being himself? If I could give this film -5 stars, I would. Bo-ring.

The funniest movie ever

This was probably the funniest movie ever made, and the funniest movie that ever will be made. If you want to laugh harder than you ever have in your life, just put this movie in. I laugh just thinking about it. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are at their comedic best, as it is superbly acted and written. They don't overact. They are really convincing; you really think they're so stupid. From the beginning to the end, there is not one joke that I didn't laugh at in this movie. The car scene is one of the funniest scenes in film. Even if you've just broken all of your bones, your house has burned down, and you're coming from a funeral of your family members, you'll crack up at this movie.

One of the BEST movies EVER!!!

Yes pals, this is IT! Put down whatever you're doing and get your hands on this movie. There's no denying it; as rude, crude and sophmoric as it may be, its just goddamn HILARIOUS! The nonstop gags and goofiness just keep building and building until they finally climax in the now-classic bathroom scene! I LOVE this part! It makes me crack up just thinking about the look on Jeff Daniels' face! I just laughed and laughed until I peed my pants! I was laughing for days after I saw this movie, and one time I even got kicked out of English class for laughing so hard! And that was after I saw it the FOURTH time! Get this one, folks! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Also reccomended: "Billy Madison", "Monty Python and the Meaning of Life"!

Funniest movie ever created

You will laugh you head off while watching this hilarious comedy. I have seen it about fifteen times and it still makes me laugh out loud. This is by far Jim Carrey's best movie. Something else very important to mention is the quality of the soundtrack. These songs go great with the comic feel of the movie.

Brilliant stupidity

Some 'dumb' comedies can take idiotic humour and elevate it to anotherlevel. This is one of those films.The story follows Harry (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd (Jim Carrey) as theytrek cross-country, ostensibly to return a briefcase to Mary Swanson(Lauren Holly) but equally motivated by Lloyd's desire to strike up arelationship with her. There is some inventiveness in the situationsthat the duo get themselves into but the story isn't exactly 'edge ofyour seat' material.The movie lives up to its name with the humour stemming from utterstupidity in most cases. Carrey & Daniels are adept at imbuing theircharacters with a sincerity that makes the idiotic comments they makeendearing in a way.This is perhaps Jim Carrey's finest hour with his comic timing andrubber-faced mugging frequently drawing laughs. Jeff Daniels is apretty good complement to Carrey's shenanigans though he isn't in thesame league as him. The supporting cast is merely alright, with amemorable turn by Mike Starr, who's usually relegated to smaller roles.There's nothing worth remarking about in terms of direction but I willcomment on the music. It's a mish-mash of then-hip alternative songs,featured prominently enough at times to seem like an advertisement forthe soundtrack album. Remember Dead Eye Dick's hit "New Age Girl"?Worse than the songs, though, are the (thankfully) brief snippets of asort of love theme. On the other hand, there's an excellent use of TheCowsill's "The Rain, the Park & Other Things".This film isn't exactly awards material but it's a pretty pleasantdiversion. Beware, though, that I've seen it butchered on television(even though it's actually quite tame), so your best bet is to stickwith video/DVD.

Classic stupidity at it's abseloute best.

If you haven't seen Dumb and Dumber you havent seen comedy. This is one of the funniest movies ever made and has more then just a few laughing moments. Almost every minute you'll be howling with laughter at the movie's incredible stupidity. Jim Carey is great and I consider this to be his best movie. If you haven't seen this movie, you're missing out on a classic gem in movie making history. This movie is a must see and is easily worth buying regardless of it's price.

Probably the funniest movie of all-time

This is one of those movies where you just sit there for an hour and ahalf, turn your mind off, and laugh your butt off! People who don'tlike this movie are either humourless or don't like some of theslapstick material. Jim Carey is his usual hilarious self, probably athis rubber-faced best in this movie, but it's Jeff Daniels as theextremely moronic Harry that steals the movie. Whether it is putting acarrot and two cotton balls on a snow man at his ''waist'' instead ofas a nose and two eyes or whether it is lighting himself on fire, Harrywill make you laugh as hard as you ever have. If you haven't seen thiscomedy before (how is that possible) it is fully recommended. 10/10

GOLD!

Dumb & Dumber back in the day was my favorite comedy of all time, but asI've grown older and wiser other films have overtaken the Farrelly Brothersfirst assault on Hollywood audiences! But all the same I still have thebiggest soft spot for this movie.The team of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels was inspired and hope one day theycould do something else together in some form!The situations that occur in Dumb & Dumber are absolutely brilliant in thehilarious way... Come on who else would have thought they would have gotaway with selling a dead bird to a blind kid? NO ONE that'swho!8/10!

Years of laughter to be expected

Forget all the editorial reviews by the so called professionals, this movie is hilarious, and there is nothing they can say, or write to deny this fact. My colleagues and I enjoy playing wav files from the movie that you can download from the WEB. When someone does something stupid, all of a sudden, one of my co-workers will fire off a wav file perfect for the ocassion. In addition, I have not found one person that does not enjoy this movie. ALl you have to say is one line from the movie and everyone around will know exactly what movie it is from, and a conversation begins.I truly suspect I will enjoy this movie year after year. Jim Carrey is truly one of the most talented actors alive today and though he may not deserve an Oscar for this performance, his Liar Liar performance should have put him in the running. The Academy should get a life.

Funny and Funnier

This movie is so frickin funny I can't put to words. Is it stupid? Well.... yeah. Is it a kind of movie a little kid would enjoy? Well........ yeah. But is it funny? Hell muther f'n yeah. O.K. I really don't feel bad for liking this movie because I love stupid movies like this one. But I saw it with my girlfriend at the time and she is one of those people that hates slapstick comedies. You know she loves the Dramas, the thought provocking, criticly aclaimed motion pictures and all that bull. But when the movie ended I asked her if she enjoyed it and she said that although she hated to admit it but she loved it. I know there's many of people out there like her but trust me this movie will make you laugh at the most stupidest things you'll be ashamed at the stuff you'll be laughing at. At the end of the movie you'll be saying to your self " I can't belive I laugh at that, it was so stupid." Stupid yeah but funny very funny.

Jim Carrey + Farrely Bros. = one very funny movie

Jim Carrey is unquestionably the funniest actor alive today, and the Farreley brothers are the funniest directors. Put the three together, and you get a great movie. Hopefully, they will team up again in the near future (if the Farreley's can afford Carrey's $20 million price-tag!)
