We have taken some photos of "Fast Five aka Fast & Furious 5".
They represent actual movie quality.
This review is from: Fast Five (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy in Blu-ray Packaging) (Blu-ray) It is surely the best of all F&F series!!!Action is awesome!!! Very creative Director - the train and the vault chase, WOW!Very entertaining. I already watch it twice and I will watch again and again.
Outstanding in all areas of production and visuals. Acting was noteworthy by all ! Make sure you watch all of credits. Cant wait for Fast Six !
This was an excellent movie prolly the best of the series. Although imissed the post credit scene can anyone help me out and tell me what itwas from what i hear it gives the movie a big twist!! new i shouldn'tof left early but everyone in my group wanted to leave so i got stucknot seeing this scene. The scenes of the movie are very action packedthe only problem is that they took away from the street racing andkinda went to the oceans eleven type feel with the bank heist andgetting a team together to do a heist. Bring the rock into the movieprolly gave the series a boost. In the way the movie ends before thepost credit scene it seems like there ready to make a 6th installmentof the series
Like a fine wine, "The Fast and the Furious" franchise just gets betterand in "Fast Five" my theory reigns true. The first part of theinstallment was high-flying and vastly exciting. Then the sequel cameout which was not up to hype as its predecessor was, and then I wasstarting to give up hope once "Tokyo Drift" was released, yes it wasthat bad. I really had lowered expectations when "Fast and the Furious"was released and to my surprise it rejuvenated my confidence in thefranchise, but "Fast Five" exceeds all my expectations as one of thebest movies of the bunch which is rare in the realm of tiring sequelsand lazy remakes that the movie industry surreptitiously likes topromote. I mean "Lethal Weapon" has had very good sequels in its heydayand "The Terminator" not to mention "Rocky" as well. I never expectedthis franchise would survive the test of time; it's like an underdog inits own right. The story on "Fast Five" is well above average. It's like acontinuation from where we left off from the previous installment. Thestory involves Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and the gang conjures up away to escape the seemingly endless array of escaping from the law andfamily issues. There's another subplot that centers on a drug kingpinand a missing computer chip. If you have a DVR you could fast forwardthose scenes because they're really not worth mentioning. Which is allgood, but the main purpose to see this movie isn't due to the brilliantperformances or a scintillating script. The hell with that! You're herefor the exhibition of colorful, high-energized cars, the endlessnonstop action and the attractive ladies. That's why you come to seethis kind of movie. As I mentioned before "Fast Five" won't win any Oscars or GoldenGlobes, but you know what? Who really give a damn? The performers likeVin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster and Sang Kangare all out to have a great time. And the chemistry within thecharacters is quite mesmerizing.Of course it's all about the action in movies like these, which willleave you breathless. Such memorable scenes include the one where gangsconfiscate cars from a moving train. Who in their right minds would dosomething so stupid and dangerous? Another is an awesome foot chase inthe condemned slums of Brazil (the scenery is postcard perfect). It'swhere The Rock and The Vin embark in a battle that was one of the raremoments that was not dependent on CGI. Let's not forget about theclimax but I won't give any spoilers away. Also be sure to stay aroundfor the end credits to know what the next installment will be about.Overall "Fast Five" offers exhilarating action, backed up withscintillating visuals, with a compelling story to keep you on edge andgreat acting for those who love action flicks.
1. There was enough testosterone in Fast Five for me to get married anddivorced three times, due to dozens of affairs all with women.2. To even use the phrase "Leave Your Brain at the Door" to describethis movie is like describing Phoenix, AZ as hot.3. They gave The Rock a goatee so you can tell the difference betweenhim and the other meathead.4. The group-heist scheme was so juvenile, even Danny Ocean would callthem amateurs.5. Of course, they left it open for a sequel, which, no doubt, shouldbe called The Fastisix.6. Pregnant women that leap from two stories and crash through the roofof a structure should at very least get a spot on the next PlannedParenthood promotional video.7. What comes after the following series of battles? King Kong Vs.Godzilla; Freddy Vs. Jason; Alien Vs. Predator; Pacino Vs. DeNiro. .uh, Dwayne Vs. Diesel? 8. Not everyone likes sequels being made. But, I'm sure as hell PaulWalker does.9. The movie's not going to be considered for Best Picture anyways, soI hope they fired whoever made the decision to delete the scenes thatthe series is known for  racing cars to win other fast cars.10. Thankfully, EBay sells everything, including an entire, full-sizevault, exactly like the one you plan on robbing. Heck, in one click, you can get it delivered in hours. To Rio, no less.11. The movie opened in April 2011 to $86 million which spun HollywoodHoncho's heads until summer began. Then their heads were just shaking.12. Expecting Fast Five to be realistic is like believing there reallyare prehistoric piranhas in Lake Havasu, AZ.13. Calling this predictable is as predictable as calling itpredictable.14. Incredibly, there wasn't a writer's strike during the production.15. Sooo they steal four cop cars, and their first instinct is to racethem in plain view?16. Also, now that four cop cars are now missing, much to thebottomless pit of luck to our antiheroes, the police never bothered toGPS the cars, much less write a theft report.17. Joker burned money to make a point. These guys did it because theycouldn't come up with one original idea.18. These guys have more lives than Jason Voorhees and yet have onlyabout half as many sequels.19. You could mute this movie and still know what's going on.20. Cops turn bad so frequently in this series, they should turn topolitics next.21. The cartoonish finale is so "Yeah, Right" that it makes Wile E.Coyote's schemes plausible.22. Why is it in heist movies, it's always their last gig? Their lasttake? Their last job? Their last everything until the next installment?23. What is Monica Geller doing in Rio robbing crooked police?24. UFC called and asked Vinnie and Rockie how they can make theirfights now not look so school-yard-brawl'ish.25. When you find out you're gonna be a dad, asking the nearest toughguy his fondest memories of his own dad is like Ted Striker asking theguy next to him to pinch him to see if he was dreaming.26. Wow...Vinnie's actually smarter than he looks. He took anadditional role as Producer.27. With everything wrong how on Earth was this just simply entertaining and probably the best of the series? (Yes, indubitably, Iactually enjoyed this mindless flick.)
Not at all what I was expecting and that's NOT a good thing.I was very disappointed and honestly BORED of this film. Sure the lead men are hot, so are the women, but other than that it was way overboard. I appreciate all the stunts, action, efforts, etc. that was put into it, but a lot of it was "YEAH RIGHT?!" As if there is any way that can happen. Unfortunately, I didn't feel it for this one.
After I have read all the positive international reviews I thought thismust be a real action movie and above all the best one of thisfranchise. But I was wrong because in my opinion there were only threegreat respectable scenes with full of adrenaline. The remaining storywas too long. The running time could have been reduced at maximal 95minutes. There were dialogs where I felt nearly asleep. The charactersand actors didn't convince me. Then I missed a fresh and intelligentstory with intriguing, mysterious or adventure elements to take medefinitely on a great ride in Rio. The story is so simply sticked as inThe Expendables or Swordfish. That's why this movie is far away fromblockbusters such as DIE HARD, TERMINATOR, JAMES BOND or THE BOURNEIDENTITY series. I am so disappointed and I won't give another chancein future. Too overrated on IMDb. My vote is slow five out of ten.
This review is from: Fast Five (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging) (Blu-ray) AWESOME!! AWESOME!! FANTASTIC!! GREAT!! lol the best movie in the franchise besides the first one. Can't wait for the 6th one.
Just got out of the theater & I must say- This movie ROCKS!!!Great Plot/Story Line... A lot better than the last 3...This movie is full of Thrills, Action, Drama & great sound!!!The special effects are AWESOME, but not too over the top!!!It was a Huge Bonus bringing the Originals back!!!All of the original actors fit their roles perfectly & the Dwaye Johnson fit his new role great! He added a lot of Intensity & his usual Flair... He also brought extra action in a Fantastic Fight scene with Deisel... Muscle vs Muscle!!!There is some Racing like usual, but this installment has a lot better story & is more of COMPLETE movie...Paul Walker & Diesel didn't miss a beat with there on screen chemistry like they had in the First movie in the series! The Chase Scene at the end of the movie is the BEST CHASE SCENE since The Elanor Chase Scene in the Gone In Sixty Seconds movie with N.Cage! Also, just like usual many people left when the end credits came on, but if you stay through the credits, you will be rewarded with a nice little SURPRISE!!!I give this movie an A & would recommend going to see it on the Big Screen!!!I might just go and see it again!!!Thanks for reading my review!
This review is from: Fast Five (DVD) great movie this movie tied all the other movies together to make it all make sence truly well done. I dont usually like movies that have more than one or two sequals before they get just much to rediculous ...not the case here .
Dont leave the theater till the movie is completely over! When the movie appeared to be over most of the theater already got up and left and guess what, they missed a surprise ending that that will open for another Fast and Furious 6.So make sure you stay in your seat to the full list of credits start rolling! Oh yeah, this movie is awesome with lots and lots of action and destruction.Loved it!
Terrible movie. It's true that it had some nice action scenes, specially the last chasescene. But the plot was weak. A lack of care for the Brazilianaudience. Some of the facts of the past of Brazil were not accurate. How aboutthat train scene? Was it supposed to happen in Brazil? We DON'T havedeserts or that kind of train here!! Further, most of the actors who were supposed to be Brazilians wereeither Americans or Hispanics. They had a really weird Portugueseaccent. Sometimes, we Portuguese speakers needed subtitles tounderstand what they were saying. Although the Portuguese of Jordana Brewster is perfect, non-Portuguesespeakers won't notice the differences. As well as those who knownothing about Brazil. Unfortunately, this movie rate will remain as high as it.
Only watching four movies a year at the theaters now, I went to seethis movie out of my vestigial interest in fast cars left over afteryears of owning sports cars and fast cars...The plot line is pretty much just an excuse for insane chase scenesthat defy the laws of physics and just all the other laws out there. The target audience will enjoy the movie, but this movie did not reallybring anything new to the table as far as the cars, it brings in castmembers from the previous sequels and does'nt even try to explain theconnections. Besides these little quibbles, I have never seen a movie where theyused so little actual real natives. They only used Rio as a backdropand huge set, clearing the streets almost completely for all thescenes. But now that I think about it, that was the way all of the movies havebeen made. Tokyo drifts main Japanese protagonists were all eithermixed or Korean!
The 1970 trailer for the biker classic, Hell's Belles summed it upperfectly: "Hip chicks with an itch for the kind of action that takes alot of man to scratch!" That same mentality prevails in all of the F&Fseries and as I've always said before: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.In my Thor review, I slated Fast Five without seeing it; and now, Istand here before my legion of fans, holding my head (and spiky bonce)in shame. They say that no one talks about Fight Club, true. But whenit's Fast & Furious, remember one thing: Leave your brain at home andset your motor to auto-cruise. Hey, I'm even 100% sure that NASA'sfinest could figure out the logistics and physics of cutting open theside of a fast moving train, but this is what F5 does: It's soludicrous that you just have to give up and suspend disbelief until youcome back to reality (haha, I made an Inception joke there, nice!) FastFive does what it says on the poster and doesn't allow you to breathe alot. Within 5 mins of the opening scene, we see Vin Diesel's Dom, beingrescued by his family (whilst he's in a moving prison vehicle no less!)And a credit to the writers, they shift gears as quickly as they canand take us to Rio De Janeiro (yes, not a CGI city, but actually Rio,no orange Macaws plugging 3G crap, thank God!) What we then get after,is a fairly sane plot of a corrupt official Reyes (the always coolJoaquin De Almeida) who seems to have more money than God. After thisKingpin kills a member of the wannabe Ocean's 11 crew, Dominic wantsrevenge as only he knows how! Except, he didn't bargain on Special FBIbounty hunter, Hobbs (Dwayne The Rock Johnson). As Paul Walker's BrianO'Conner says: "Vey Old Testament". Say what you like aboutwrestlers-cum-actors, but DJ is better than 50 Cent, in that heactually took acting lessons and is the best thing about F5. In fact,Vin Diesel has been in this franchise for a while now, and wisely takesa back seat for the Rock and his motormouth do the talking. And this iswhat I liked: We're promised a showdown with 2 behemoths (albeit 3, ifyou count Vin's belly). While I do like the Bourne films, thosefrigging quick cuts in the action is off putting; but here, Justin Linkeeps it old school and even out does the Expendables and its constantclumsiness, by giving us a solid beat-down between the Tooth Fairy &XXX. It's A-Team style, punch-em-in-the-face with no suplex in-jokes.The Rock is in phenomenal shape and twice the size of Diesel (I forone, cannot wait until 2012 when he does a one-off reunion with WWE andtakes out John Cena!) The women in F&F have 2 purposes: They're goodwheel drivers and wield wrenches for self-defense. On the other hand, the ones who aren't allowed to speak on camera, simply let their finelytuned asses and over-the-crotch hot pants do the talking (not that I'mcomplaining you understand)...Gisele (Gal Gadot) is a skinny chick withballs and needs to eat more burgers if she wants to convince SportsIllustrated, she can cut it on their front cover. Elsa "Tacky" Patakyis good as Elena, the cop with a "nice smile" and wished she'd been ina bikini instead. But as always, my heart goes to Jordana Brewster asMia. She'll never win an Oscar (like she gives a rat's ass!) butremains as beautiful as ever (and appeared in season 2 of Chuck, soclearly she has taste). There was great interplay with the rest of the cast too, especiallywith Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and Tej (Chris Bridges) and their schoolboyput downs. And with a movie that takes itself seriously with action andvery little CGI, a smattering of humour is always welcome in my books.A few observations I noticed: Had Dominic Toretto and his motley crewwatched Top Gear UK, they would've known that a TVR is the only carthat could beat a speed camera (duh!) Also, don't even tell me thatno-one has played Modern Warfare 2, because anyone who has (veteran, cough!) will be familiar with the Favela chapter and here, it's broughtto the screen with some real ferocity, right down to the roof topchases. And just to reinforce the demographic F5 is aimed out, look nofurther than Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, which they clearly emulatedin the last 20 mins. And there were 2 other moments I cried (the firstbeing Elena) - Mia driving a GT40 and Dom's 1970 Charger gettingcrushed (noooooo!) And if you're going to acquire the top sports car inthe Western Hemisphere, at least have the decency to grace us with aband of attractive women to double the viewing pleasure! As my goodAmerican cyber friend Ashley said: "Stick around after the endcredits". F&F6 is on the cards; but F5 could've tied-up its loose endsvery neatly. I gave this movie 5/5 because it's F for Fun and after youleave, you'll think you've just been on the best amusement park ride, ever! Whether Justin Lin is the right man for the Terminator reboot isdebatable - (don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the Far East Asianbrother to hit the big time, and that Sung Kan gets a love interestwho's out of his race!) but if Justin himself can contact me, we needto sit down and do some serious talking!
I must ask was Vin Diesel on some kind of drugs while he was filmingthis? Seriously, every time he appeared on screen he looked like hecould use a nap. Maybe he realized how bad this is and did not want togive an effort.I enjoyed 1 and 2nd FnF and did not watch rest of them except this lastone.Except for few funny scenes and Dwayne Johnson rest is plain crap.Nothing is consistent. Pretty much like Transformers 3. You simply jumpfrom one scene in no particular order and that is annoyance.Supporting cast is completely obnoxious and that was not easy toachieve.Don't bother to watch as I can not with describing how bad it is anylonger.
Mike Russell from Portland Oregonian, "The action set pieces are hugeand cartoonish and violent and inventive the movie has ahard-to-manufacture charisma that probably hasn't been in play sincethe first 'Fast and the Furious.'" Scott Tobias from AV Club, " may be lizard-brain escapism but nonsensethis well-orchestrated is a rare and precious thing." Kyle Smith from New York Post, "If you're wondering why this movie muststretch past two hours, it's because it takes that long to read everyitem in the cliché dictionary."www.tensecondscoop.com - Fast access to a movie's critical ratings
Here is another example of a reasonably fine movie presented withcompletely wrong promos and a misleading promotional campaign. And thestrange thing is that the blunder is once again committed by theexperienced Justin Lin who did exactly the same with their earlierproject "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift". Simply putting, "FastFive" is neither a youthful movie about college life nor it talks aboutany campus affairs as prominently shown in its on-air promos.Conversely, it is a simple story of a one-sided love affair, alsofeaturing a girl child drift racer playing a prominent role in thescript and has a story-line, which somehow seems to be less appealingfor the younger audiences. So, if you are expecting a trendy, collegecampus love flick, featuring a geek and a beauty, then you are suregoing to be disappointed big time. But the saving grace is that themovie still manages to impress the viewers to some extent, mainlythrough its engaging second half, where the plot actually starts movingat the much needed speed. Whereas before intermission, the narrativehas nothing great to offer and you just keep waiting for something moreinteresting to happen on the screen very soon.Basically, I am still wondering why Justin Lin (director) and ChrisMorgan, who has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues forthe movie, opted for such confusing promos for their project, whichno-where talk about the real movie in the offering. In fact all thescenes in the promos on-air are just taken from the first 15 minutes ofthe movie and the rest is completely left untouched. To be precise, Icouldn't figure out, what was the purpose of promoting the movie as acollege drama, when its main lead female character is actually adivorcée single father living alone. That was really a silly attempt tobring in the young crowd into the theaters to fetch a good initial. However, the move may turn against the movie, since all the youngstersare not going to find the content they were really feeling excited for.Justin Lin once again misses the bull's eye with even Dayne "The Rock"Johnson being there for him as a merit.Nevertheless, apart from this publicity goof up, "Fast Five" is adecent movie with worth watching performances from the lead pair andsome awesome rice burners. Vin "Motorhead" Diesel once again leads fromthe front, with his stunning outfits and gorgeous looks. His solidportrayal of a stylish yet uneducated single gangbanger, rightly proveswhy he is considered as one of the best talents we currently have inour American Cinema. Paul Walker as his unwitting partner, surprisinglygives a stunner performance in the role of a geek. He is simply not thesame Paul Walker, you may recall from his previous films. He has notonly grown as an actor but also showcases his other talents of writingand scripting a story of his own. Jordana Brewster, the kid girl is adelight to watch and a talent to look out in the future. Ludicrous islovable in his few scenes and Don Omar is quite impressive in hisnegative role.Musically, the film has majority of its songs written partly in hip hopwhich have a limited appeal. Music directors Salim-Sulieman have workedmore on their song arrangements and less on the melody part of theirmusical score. Hence, though the tracks sound good but they don't stayin your mind for long. Cinematography captures outdoor locationsskillfully. In a nutshell review, "Fast Five" is a good one time watch mainly forits performances, but it has nothing as suggested by its trendy andyouthful promos. The movie is based on an urban subject revolvingaround Japanese automobiles and street racing which strictly makes it amultiplex movie and can work only in the metros. You can watch it forboth Vin Diesel and Paul Walker but don't expect any college romanceout of it.
This review is from: Fast Five (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy in Blu-ray Packaging) (Blu-ray) no complaints....the movie is amazing. the quality is great. you wont be disappointed. also has some great features if you have your blu ray player internet ready so make sure to check that out as well!
This review is from: Fast Five (DVD) Excellent movie fast paced and worth the watch! This movie is great for car lovers! This movie is great for all ages,
This review is from: Fast Five (Extended Version) (Amazon Instant Video) Slow to get going but after that.... lots of bullets, fast cars, screaming tires, car chases, explosions, car crashes. Hardly need the sound to be on as dialogue is nothing to write home about but was dialogue even expected??? For what it is, it was fine.
