Storyline	The show starred Johnny Messner as Detective Jack Hale of the San Francisco Police Department Deviant Crimes Unit. The units mission is to track down the perpetrators of unusual crimes within the city. The definition of a deviant crime is not explicitly stated within the show. Each new crime spree is investigated by the head of the unit, Lieutenant Matt Cavanaugh (Chi McBride) who judges whether the crime is deviant enough to be investigated by the DCU. The subjective nature of this process has led Hales partner, Detective Danielle Carter (Kristin Lehman), to try to define a deviant crime. Despite her efforts, Hale remains convinced that deviance is in the eye of the beholder.
